Peter Hug is a dedicated engineer with an impressive academic background. He earned his degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Applied Sciences HTL. Subsequently, he expanded his skill set by successfully completing a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in Industrial Design at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU). Committed to further enhancing his qualifications, he also underwent training in higher education didactics at the University of St. Gallen (HSG).

Now, Peter Hug is a lecturer at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW), where he imparts knowledge in product development and industrial design.
Peter Hug's research interests are diverse and reflect his commitment to technological innovation. He focuses on subjects such as the Digital Twin and 3D-Master in the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) process, as well as the use of mixed reality (XR) in product development and production. He also explores virtual product development and production, 3D re-engineering methods, the development of niche software for 3D processes, and 3D visualizations along with ergonomics and haptic studies.
